1) My 2 yr kid hav skin allergy she hav to use a shower cream and a lotion which hav both cetyl alcohol IP (2.650%w/w) and stearyl alcohol IP (.260%w/w) its a 125ml bottle, is it ok to use on her because we couldnt find an alternative medicine which cures her allergy? This medicine she have to use upto 6yrs.Iam asking this because i heard that there is a hadhis saying there is no cure in anything allaah prohibited. Also she have to take an allergy medicine it says alcohol 0.263ml and absolute alcohol content 5%v/v
2) I get frustrated when my mother talks or says anything i know i shouldnt hate her but i know how she treated my late father and still she have affairs with different plp. And our youngest sister lives with her she is 17 yrs she have a mental problem. I feel that those men who comes to her room abuse her too. My sister wouldnt tell she says its something bad to talk abt. When she was a bit young i saw her masterbarting her self i said not to do it but she shouted at me and my mother never stops those things. And thats how my mother treated me too. I cant help hating my mother pls help. And i am a female

1. It is permissible for you to apply the shower cream and lotion that have alcohol content in them for medical purposes as there is no adequate alternative to your child’s sickness. The same rule will apply for the allergy medicine.
2. To respect ones mother is fardh. This is a clear injunction of Allah in the Quran. To resent sin is also farsh. You will have to deal with both injunctions carefully. In general you should show respect to your mother and be kind and humble to her. When you witness any violation of Shariah, you should express your concern and aversion to her wrongs without showing disrespect to her. Let her know and feel that your concern is the wrong act and not her. It may be an idea to get in touch with some pious females of the area and get them to come home and interact with your mother. The company and association of pious people have a positive impact on ones character. You may also consider introducing Taleem in the house. For example, read Fazaail-e-Amaal of Hazrath Shaikh Zakariyya (RA) for about five to ten minutes everyday. Inshallah, the words of Allah and his Rasul and pious people will have an impact on the heart.
