Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

A miscarried foetus will intercede on behalf of his/her parents on the day of Qiyamah and in fact take them into jannat.

Rasulullah(sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) has mentioned:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : ” إن السقط ليراغم ربه إذا دخل أبواه النار حتى يقال أيها السقط المراغم ربه إرفع فإني أدخلت أبويك الجنة (قال) فيجرهما بسرره حتى يدخلهما الجنة “.

“Verily a miscarried foetus will persist in interceding on behalf of its parents that are in the fire until it would be said: O the miscarried foetus that is persisting to its Rabb, wake up for verily I have entered your parents into jannat. The foetus will pull the parents with its umbilical cord until they enter jannat” (Ibn Majah, Kitaab Al-Janaaiz, vol 1, pg 513, Ihyaa Al-Kutub al-Arabiyya)

ان السقط ليجر أمه بسرره إلى الجنة

“Verily the miscarried foetus will pull its mother with its umbilical cord into jannat (Ibid)

وإن السقط ليرى محبنطئا بباب الجنة يقال له: ادخل يقول: حتى يدخل أبواي”.

“Verily the miscarried foetus will see a person anxiously waiting at the door of jannat. It will be told to the foetus: ‘Enter jannat’! (It will reply: I will not enter) until my parents enter jannat”. (Majma’ Al-Zawaaid, Kitaab Al-Janaaiz, vol 3, pg 10, Al-Qudsi)
