After the salah in jamaat, the musallis place their hands on thier head and recite some dua or dhikr. Can you please mention some of these, their references (hadiths) of its authenticity!
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Sayyiduna Anas (Radiallahu Anhu) reports that it was the practice of our beloved Nabi (Salllahu Alayi Wa Salam) after salat to place his right hand on his forehead (and in some narration on his head) and recite the following supplication:
“بسم الله الذي لا إله إلا هو الرحمن الرحيم، اللهم أذهب عني الهم والحزن”.
Bismillah Al-ladhi Laa Ilaaha Illaa Huwa Al-Rahman Al-Raheem, Allah huma Adhib Anni Al-Hamma Wa Al-huzn. Meaning;
In the name of Allah there is none worthy of worship but He, The Most Gracious The Most Merciful, O’ Allah, free me of worry and depression.
