You quoted this hadith of tirmidhi…  In another narration of Tirmidhi 483 Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم explains that after salah one should first recite Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) ten times, then Alhamdulillah (all praises are for Allah) ten times then Subhanallah (glory be to Allah) ten times and then he should ask Allah Ta’ala Allah Ta’ala says Yes (i.e. I have accepted )

I wanted to ask is this hadith related to recitiing allah u akbar alhamdullillah and subhanallah 10 times each after Fard Salah or does it refer any salah or Nafl Salah

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Imam Abu Ya’la has mentioned the same Hadith in his Musnad with the inclusion of Fardh Salaah. Therefore, the said Zikr and Dua should be made after Fardh Salaah.

And Allah knows best
