I own a small retail shop and inorder to celebrate 25 years of my business. I would like to know the islamic way of celebration of annivesaries of business firms/human beings?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

, if i advertise in the local newspapers of a lucky dip contest, that is a first prize in the form of a vehicle plus second and third prizes ,altogether the gifts been worth 1000 $,will i be doing anything wrong by celebrating in this manner? will it be sinful if the prize be won by a non muslim ; there is a high possibility as i live in a community where muslims are a minority ; say for instance if the the non muslim winner takes the vehicle to the temple or church so as to thank his god? I would like to know the islamic way of celebration of annivesaries of business firms/human beings?

Answer

Islam does not sanction the celebration of anniversaries and birthdays in a
manner that resembles the lifestyle and methods of the Kuffaar.

The Islamic way is to use this opportunity to be grateful to Allah Ta’ala
for all that He has given us. We should express our gratitude to Allah by
submitting to Allah Ta’ala in all the aspects of our life. Bring every
single aspect of our lives according to the commands of Allah and Sunnat of
Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam). Together with this, we should make Du’aa
and pray to Allah Ta’ala thanking Him for all that He has given us. We could
also spend some of the wealth in charity (Sadaqah) in the numerous avenues
that are available nowadays.

We have considered the lucky dip contest in the context of celebrations and
anniversaries.

and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
