Answer
1. If a female experiences a maximum course of periods which is ten days, or
if she has a set habit every month, for example, five days, etc. she may
have intercourse with her husband before taking a bath. If her periods
terminates before her habitual monthly cycle, then she cannot have
intercourse until she takes a bath. (Tahtawi)
2. It is Mustahabb for a man to take a bath after nocturnal emission and
before having intercourse with his wife or he should, at least, wash his
private parts.
