Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Dear Muhtaram Mufti Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah Do the following books give authentic information of the aqeeda of the Ahl aSunna Wa al jamaath a. Aqeedatul Waastiyah by Shaikh Ibn Taymiah b. Kitabul imaan by Muhammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab c. Explanation of the Creed by Al Barbaharee d. Taqwiatul Imaan by Shah Ismail Shaheed. Jazakallahumal khair.

Answer

We have not studied the books a, b and c

1. Taqi-u-ddin Ahman ibn Taymiyah (RA) was a great scholar but had some
independent views contrary to the mainstream views. He was entitled to hold
such view based on his research. A Muqallid should follow the opinions of
one of the four Imaams of Fiqh – Imaam Abu Hanifa, Shaaf’ee, Maaliki and
Hanbaliy.
2. Taqwiyatul Iemaan by Moulana Ismail Shaheed is authentic.
