When I want to make a Du?aa in my own language, outside of Salaat, is it better for me to go into Sajda and beg of Allah S.W.T., if so, which way should my palms face?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org
Answer

To fulfil an act according to the Sunnah is the most effective way of
Qubooliyyah (acceptance) of the act in the sight of Allah. Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to make Du’aa in the Sajda of the Nafl
Salaat.

It is also permissible to make Du’aa in Sajdah posture, but out of Salaat.
In such a case the palms will be placed on the ground, in line with the
ears.
