Does Islam allow for use of ‘life-support’ to keep a person alive (breathing) even though he is practically dead?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I guess, ?life-support? would include a heart-lung machine, dialysis machine, etc.?

Answer

There is no prohibition in Shari’ah to use a life support machine to keep
some organs of the body functioning.
