Has Mufti Ebrahim Desai endorsed Zero Mortgage?

We have been forwarded a newsletter of Zero Mortgage Canada from one of the recipients for clarity. The recipient received the newsletter on the 20th of September 2019, with the following:
“Endorsement and Top Ten reasons for using Zero Mortgage
Mufti Ebrahim Desai, Zero Chief Halal Officer. Listen to his 18 lecture on top 10 reasons to use Zero Mortgage.”

We have been inundated with queries regarding Zero Mortgage Canada and our endorsement. Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahab has not endorsed Zero Mortgage Canada. Accordingly, the statement is incorrect.
The Darul Iftaa has spent considerable time in assisting Zero Mortgage in making their product Shariah compliant. In view of the intricacies involved in the product that cannot be achieved through correspondence, the Darul Iftaa advised Zero Mortgage to meet Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahab personally. Hazrat Mufti Sahab is still committed to assist Zero Mortgage Canada to make their product Shariah compliant for the benefit of the Muslims of Canada. We await Zero Mortgage’s response to our offer.
