Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Brother in Islam,

We take note of your condition. [1] [2]  We make Dua Allah strengthen your Ieman in Taqdeer.

As Muslims, we submit to Taqdeer – the decree of Allah Ta’āla. Submission to Taqdeer is compulsory and an act of ibadah. Placing our trust in Allah Ta’āla’s infinite wisdom is a core foundation of our belief. We should also ensure that we never become despondent and lose hope in the mercy of Allah Ta’āla.

Allah is Al-Hakeem (The All-Wise). Whatever Allah ordains for us is in our best interest. Trust in the decision of Almighty Allah and you will find an indescribable sense of satisfaction in that.

It is Almighty Allah Alone who decrees whether a woman will be fertile or barren or whether a man will be able to produce sperm or not.

Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran,

Translation: “To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatsoever he wishes. He bestows female (offspring) to whomsoever he wishes and bestows male (offspring) to whomsoever he wishes. Or he grants both male and female and he renders barren whomsoever he wishes. Verily, He is All-knowing and has the power to do anything.” (Surah Shuraa, Verse 49-50,)

Your current condition is nothing but a test from the side of Allah. Allah gives His pious servants tests so that they may turn to Him and acquire a closer relationship with him. Remember that there are others going through the same challenge as you are. We understand that this condition of yours may affect you psychologically. Patience and hope are critically important in such a situation.

Everything in the universe is in the control of Allah Ta’āla and only through His Might, Power and Will can anything take place. Constantly reflect over His power to restore and His ability to cure. Nothing is beyond His reach.

This is a condition directly from Allah and the solution lies in supplicating to Allah. Almighty Allah blessed Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Saarah (Alayhimas Salaam) in extreme old age by granting them Hazrat Isma’eel and Hazrat Ishaaq (Alayhimas Salaam). Hazrat Zakariyya (Alayhis Salaam)’s wife was barren and Hazrat Zakariyya (Alayhis Salaam) had reached an elderly age. Allah Ta’ala blessed him with a son, Hazrat Yahya (Alayhis Salaam). Both these great prophets desired to have children but their wives were barren. They remained constant in their supplications against all odds and Allah Ta’ala granted them such children who were then made prophets.

We advise you to follow in the footsteps of these noble prophets of Allah and supplicate to Allah in all earnestness. Fully engage yourself in the recitation of the Qur’an Shareef as well.

Allah Ta’ala says regarding the Qur’an Shareef:

قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ

Translation: Say, “It (the Qur’ān) is, for those who believe, a guidance and a cure.” (Surah Fussilat Verse 44)

Reciting the following verses of the Qur’an frequently with the intention of offspring should aid you and your spouse in conceiving a child In Sha Allah:

وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى بَلْ لِلَّهِ الْأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا  [3]

Translation: If there were a Quran with which mountains moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) but, truly, the command is with Allah in all things!  (Surah Ra’d Verse 31)

Translation: My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication. (Surah Aale-Imraan Verse 38)

The above supplication is the supplication of the great Nabi, Hadhrat Zakariyya (Alayhis Salaam) whose incident was discussed above.

Adopt all possible means to cure yourself. Be determined and courageous. Be patient and optimistic, and turn to Allah in worship. Treat yourself medically as there are many men who have been diagnosed with a zero sperm count and have later found cure.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) gave us hope in the following hadeeth,

Translation: Jabir RadhiyAllahu anhu reported that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. (Muslim  (2204[5]

Recite Durood Shareef in abundance whenever you experience any depression.

You are in our Duas. May Allah Ta’ala make it easy for you.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

Men who don’t have sperm in their semen have a condition called Azoospermia. It happens to about 1% of all men and 15% of infertile men. A man is said to be completely sterile if his semen analysis report shows Azoospermia. Azoospermia means no sperm in the ejaculate.
