Listening to nasheeds sung by Owais Qadri

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

as salam e lay  kum mufti sahib

My question is in regards to the naat of Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi commonly known as Ala Hazrat sang by Owais Raza Qadri.  Can I listen to his naats they keep me away from sins or do they compose words of shirk?  Some of the naats are:

1.  Ya  Muhammad noor e mujassam ya habibi ya moulai

2.  Wah kiya jood o karam hai shahe bathe tera

3.  zare jhar kar teri pezaron ke taj sar bante hai sayaro ke

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We advise against listening to the nasheeds sung by Owais Raza Qadri.[i]Rather, you may listen to the beautiful recitation of the Quran by expert Qurraa (Reciters).

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
