I am 24 year old boy who spent 4 months in the path of Allah working in an IT company.

My aunt has gifted my mom a mobile who is 41 year old in which she started seeing youtube bayans and also it lead to sex related vedios.I found it in the History folder. With the Hikmath,I asked  to take mobile with me.But she refused to give and answered..’You take this mobile…I will  buy another one’

Later I found in the call history speaking to 34 year old Muslim guy frequetly and I got shocked.

Really …I am unable to understand what to do.Whom to convey.

I have father and 1 brother..

Please suggest me in this…My mind is shocked  and unable to understand.

I thought my mom is the best lady in the world and Now I can’t even see my mom with the love and affection and getting water in the eyes when I see my father.

I will stay away from home  and visit home monthly once.

Please give some Mashwara and suggestions on this.

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Brother in Islaam,

Rasulullaah (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said,

إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ اَلظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ اَلْحَدِيثِ

Translation: “Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the most false form of talk.” (Bukhaari 5143, Muslim 2563)

Islaam teaches us to think positive and good about others; give them the benefit of the doubt. There could be many explanations to what you saw. How certain are you that it is your mother who is engaging in the above actions? It is possible someone else is using your mother’s phone. Leave the issue and do not let it affect you. You may apply wisdom and respectfully approach your mother on the issue. She will probably give you another explanation that will alleviate the evil thoughts in your mind.

In the future, do not breach anyone’s privacy and pry through their calling and browsing history.

Irrespective of the reality of the matter, remember that at the end of the day, she is your mother. Do not for once treat her ill or show even the slightest bit of disrespect. Be dutiful to her. Make du’aa for her and leave the rest to Allaah Ta’aala.

You may obtain Islaamic literature and lectures and gift them to her. You may also present to her the discourses of my honorable teacher, Mufti Ebrahim Desai (Hafizahullaah) on the Qaseedah Burdah for spiritual enhancement. The discourses are available here.

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.
