Passing Miqat without Ihram/ 2 Rakat tawaf in home

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

  1. I am travelling to Bangladesh via Jeddah. I have no intention of visiting Makkah during transit. Do I have to don the Ihram?
  2. I forgot to pray my two rakats after nafl tawaf. I am back home in the US now. Is there dam on me?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

  1. Entering into the state of Ihram is necessary on those who travel across the Miqat intending to enter Makkah. You do not have to enter into the state of Ihram in the enquired situation.[1]
  2. The two rakats after a voluntary Tawaf are Wajib. Delaying them in the manner described is disliked. Nevertheless, you may perform the two rakats at home in the US.[2]
