Expiation of doing nafli tawaf in the “state of haidh”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

My question is I have  started to learn about Islam and have come to know that I use to make mistakes during my ghusal.

All was done due to lack of knowledge nothing done intentionally Since then Iam extremely depressed so much that my family life is compleletely disturbed. I am pregnant and mother of two but all the time I am thinking about it and regretting on all my  ibadah done preveiously.

For example : In past i didnt know that cleaning the belly button deeply is very important during ghusal ,I used to pour water all over my body but as i was very painful for me to clean and I had an operation done on my belly button few years ago I had a fear subcounciously but now I am practicing what I have learnt although it is painful.

Secondly I mistakenly took my yellowish menstural secretion at the end of the period as regular vaginal discharge as I suffer alot from it. I would like to know in past  I have performed several nafli tawaf in my life with those mistakes. Although when I was not aware of the rulling I use to do wadhu repeatedly for each tawaf .Kindly let me know the what is the expiatation of doing nafli tawaf in that case without awareness as well as If I get a chance to go haram in future can I make up for those tawaf again.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

You state that it is painful for you to clean your belly button due to the operation. You may take a piece of cotton wool and wet it and wipe the belly button with the wet cotton wool. Water would reach the belly button in this way and it would not be painful.

In order for us to advise you, let us know what you mean by end of period. What exactly was your menstrual cycle at the time of doing the tawaf. How many days?

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
