Reward for Good Deeds, Layla Majnun

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

1)Differences between sawab and neki?

2)i have heard that majnoo was son of a sahaba?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

  1. There is no difference between sawab and neki. Both mean rewards for good deeds.
  2. We do not know who you mean by “majnoo.” Perhaps you are referring to the poet Qays ibn al-Mulawwah who is known from the famous semi-historical story of Layla and Majnun.

We have not come across any indication that he was the son of a sahabi.

And Allah Ta‘ālā Knows Best.
