I am 25 years old. My problem is i have grey hairs and i find this very disturbing for a young man. I am not even married. 🙁
I have read regarding Hair Dye. The issue is 1) My skin colour does not allow me to use all dyes and my working profession as well.
I can use black or brown. Problem is my hair is not long. Brown does’t hold and the grey hairs. I heard black is prohibited but this is the only choice i have. Can i atleast mix a little black with the brown? Using just brown does not hold on my hair?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is prohibited to use pure black hair dye1. Consider the following warning in the hadith:
يَكُونُ قَوْمٌ يَخْضِبُونَ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ بِالسَّوَادِ كَحَوَاصِلِ الْحَمَامِ لاَ يَرِيحُونَ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّة
“Some people will dye their hair black like the breasts of pigeons at the end of time, but they will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise.”(Nasa’i/9293)
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said to Abu Quhafah (radiyallahu anhu)who’s hair was grey:
غَيِّرُوا هَذَا بِشَىْءٍ وَاجْتَنِبُوا السَّوَاد
“Change this with something but avoid black” (Muslim/2102)
You may use a mixture of black and brown dye2.

أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن عبيد الله الحلبي، عن عبيد الله عن عبد الكريم، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس رفعه قال: «قوم يخضبون بهذا السواد آخر الزمان كحواصل الحمام لا يريحون رائحة الجنة»9293
