I have a question about women cutting hair. If a women wears hijab and has long hair then without having trims then she can get split ends. That’s one of the reasons why having regular haircuts are recommended. Without having a trim the split end can travel high up making the hair brittle and weak. Therefore not having a trim could make the hair unhealthy.
She would not be doing it for fashionable reasons. Only to keep her hair healthy as she has split ends which are not good for hair. It would be all the same length too, no layers.
Based on this please can you clarify.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Trichoptilosis schizotrichia, and informally split ends, is the splitting or fraying of the hair-shaft due to excessive heat and mechanical stress.
If there is no other way to overcome the split ends, then a woman will be excused to trim her hair only as a form of treatment and only to the extent of need. [1]

عورت کے لئے بال بڑھانے کی غرض سے پھٹے ہوئے بالوں کو کاٹنے کی اِجازت ہے، اِس میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔

جب بال منڈائے بغیر علاج معالجہ مفید نہیں ہے تو مجبوراً بال منڈانے کی اجازت ہے ۔
یعنی عورت بال منڈانے پر مجبور ہوجائے تو اجازت ہے لیکن تسبہ بالرجا ل یا فیشن کے لئے ہوتو جائز نہیں حرا م ہے ۔
