Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I work for an organization they pay me 1000USD credited in my bank account i am working since 2006 .In last 10 years i withdraw my salary amount from bank .Many times a quarterly intrest from bank is credited one of my friend conveyed that this amount can be considered as minimmum balance that is to be maintained from bank but unfortunately i sometimes i withraw complete amount(including intrest) balance .I have in my mind one fine day i will go and meet bank manager and ask/query him total interest paid to me ang give to poor(without sawab).Kindly let me know the  amout that i have withdrawn fully includes interest amount a well as i am having intention that one fine day i will payback bank intrest after taking confirmation from manager about total intrest credited in my account in last 10 year which is a nominal amount.

If the amount withdraw is haraam or halal if it is haraam what is kaffara for me

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, one cannot derive benefit from interest money. [1]

Interest money must be disposed of to the poor and needy without the intention of reward. [2]

You need to calculate the interest money accumulated and dispose it as soon as possible and make Tawbah and Istighfaar for the sin you have committed and make a firm resolve never to involve yourself in Riba based transactions.

You should meet with the bank manager and enquire from him how much interest was paid by you. If you used that money, then you should give that amount as sadaqah to the poor and needy.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
