Assalam o Alaikum wr wb,
Mufti Sahab i wanted to ask if a husband and wife can offer fardh salah in congregation (just the two of them)if there is no masjid nearby? JzakumUllah khayr.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A male should endeavour to perform Salah with congregation in the Masjid. If the Masjid is far, an effort should be made to establish a Musalla for men of that area to perform Salah in congregation.
Nevertheless, the husband may perform Salah in congregation with his wife. The wife should stand behind when the husband is leading the Salah.[i]

تُكْرَهُ إمَامَةُ الرَّجُلِ لَهُنَّ فِي بَيْتٍ لَيْسَ مَعَهُنَّ رَجُلٌ غَيْرُهُ وَلَا مَحْرَمٌ مِنْهُ) كَأُخْتِهِ (أَوْ زَوْجَتِهِ أَوْ أَمَتِهِ، أَمَّا إذَا كَانَ مَعَهُنَّ وَاحِدٌ مِمَّنْ ذُكِرَ أَوْ أَمَّهُنَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا) يُكْرَهُ بَحْرٌ (وَيَقِفُ الْوَاحِدُ) وَلَوْ صَبِيًّا، أَمَّا الْوَاحِدَةُ فَتَتَأَخَّرُ (مُحَاذِيًا) أَيْ مُسَاوِيًا (لِيَمِينِ إمَامِهِ)

ولو أمهن رجل فلا كراهة إلا أن يكون في بيت ليس معهن فيه رجل أو محرم من الإمام أو زوجته فإن كان واحد ممن ذكر معهن فلا كراهة كما لو كان في المسجد مطلقا
