AsalaamuAlaykum, I have a question regarding mehndi /henna.
I apply mehndi fairly often and when I found out about some mehndi pastes having chemicals in them I started using /ordering natural Henna. For natural Henna/ mehndi, the people who make them tend to use ‘Essential oils’ and I just found out that some of these essential oils have ‘Monoterpene alcohols’ in them such as Cajeput oil I believe. Are these Monoterpene alcohols natural and ok to use?
Please could you tell me if these essential oils can be used in the mehndi paste as I use mehndi regularly and need to know if the mehndi cones I have are ok to use please.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Monoterpene Alcohols are extracted from lavender plants, rose plants, geranium plants, chamomile plants, eucalyptus plants and juniper plants.[1]
Monoterpene Alcohols are not made from dates or grapes. Accordingly, they are not impure and are therefore permissible to use.[2]
