I woke up in the state of janabat in the month of Ramadhaan after sunrise, will my fast be valid?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

i had intercourse with my wife on a night of ramadan, but i overlept and missed fajir and i still did not make ghusul and the sun is out. is my fasting of that day acceptable? or do i have to make up for it another day?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.

In principle, one does not have to be in the state of taharah for his fast to be valid. You do not have to repeat the fast.[1]
