Will one be excused from fasting if he is suffering from a major migraine and nausea?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Is it permissible to break ones fast if exposed to paint fumes & dry wall dust if it has caused major migraine & nausea.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.

One will be excused to break his fast if he is certain that continuing the fast will cause him to get ill or his health will deteriorate. A fasting person should try to preserve his fast to the best of his ability and also avoid exposing himself to situations that risk his health.[1]

And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
