1. If the ?cetyl? alcohol is syenthetic and the lipstick does not contain any other Haraam ingredient, then a female may apply lipstick. The lipstick should not form a paste that water cannot penetrate through. In such a situation, the Wudhu will not be valid.
2. It is Haraam (strictly prohibited) to read books such as Harry Potter.
