Am I commiting a sin by saving money?

As Salaam Alaikum I have saved some money for no particular reason.I may buy some dollars from it or spend it on my room Also there is some other money which I have saved so that I can give it to the poor or spend it on the way of Allah and I am soon going to give to some people, you can say that it is sadaqa.Can you please advice me that the money that I am saving for no particular reason is a sin or not? Jazakallahu Khairan

Answer

Wealth is a great Ni’mat (blessing of Allah Ta’ala. It is not prohibited to
save your money and use it as required within the confines of Shari’ah.
