Does an adopted child have any rights over the estate of natural parents or adopted parents ?

According to the Islamic Laws of Inheritance and Succession, an adopted child is entitled to his/her share according to the Islamic Laws of Inheritance and Succession from his/her biological parent’s estate and not from the adoptive parent’s estate. The adoptive parents may make a bequest uptill one third of their nett estate after paying funeral expenses and debts. and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best Mufti Ebrahim Desai FATWA DEPT.
