I haven’t come on my menstrual cycle for a long time and this causes me pain

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I haven’t come on my menstrual cycle for a long time and this causes me pain. What Duas can I read to come on one? Secondly, how can I know if I have jinn related problems or if someone has done jadu on me e.t.c? Thirdly, usually I write really long questions. This time I’ve kept it short for one reason. So that the main focus can be seeking Duas. 8 years ago, mufti Ebrahim Saab made this dua for me. I still feel the effects of this dua, Allah accepted it from mufti Saab so strongly, it has changed my life, simply put. Please make dua for me mufti Saab. That a) Allah accepts work of deen from me and b) He grants me closeness to him via good character and c) he grants me shifa from illness Always making dua for all those who write here

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

Assalamu Alikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

I take note of your appreciation and decided to personally answer you.

I understand the sensitivity of you not having your menstrual cycle normally. Remember, every one of us are created and designed by Allah. Allah designed us as He willed. Allah is Al-Hakeem (The All-Wise). Every act of Allah has wisdom in it. We may not be able to fathom the wisdom of Allah in how Allah created us.

In the various challenges of life, it is advisable to remind ourselves of a very important belief.

رضا بلقضاء واجب

Translation: To be happy with the decree of Allah is wajib. (Compulsory)

Think of Allah being Al-Hakeem and remind yourself to be content with Allah’s decree. That will give you internal strength and support.

Furthermore, we are living in the world of means. If we are faced with a challenge, adopt all possible means to get relief. Place your trust in Allah and make dua to Allah to put effect in the means if Allah knows that is best for you.

I advise you to consult a specialist regarding your menses. Do not attribute the medical problem to the jins. If you honestly suspect that you also have a jin related problem, consult a specialist (Aamil) and treat yourself in that as well.

I also advise you to seek the counsel of a psychiatrist. There are many professional people who seek counsel and medications from psychiatrists to overcome their challenges in life. This will be very useful for you.

Finally, I advise you to perform two rakats Salatul hajah everyday and read the following dua.

Translation: There is no god but Allah the Clement and Wise. There is no god but Allah the High and Mighty. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Tremendous Throne.  All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds.  I ask you (O Allah) everything that leads to your mercy, and your tremendous forgiveness, enrichment in all good, and freedom from all sin.  Do not leave a sin of mine (O Allah), except that you forgive it, nor any concern except that you create for it an opening, nor any need in which there is your good pleasure except that you fulfill it, O Most Merciful!

I make dua that Allah grant you the strength and ability to overcome your medical and other related challenges. May Allah keep you happy in whichever condition you are in. Happiness is the greatest bounty. There are many people who are healthy but unhappy. You too should adopt permissible means to keep yourself happy.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
