I went over fatwa #34100 about the permissible items regarding makeup, hair etc. I came across the piercing ruling. In a previous fatwa#2343 it said that belly piercing was permissible for the pleasure of ones spouse and not imitating the women of west but in the recent fatwa it said that any piercing other than nose and ears is not allowed. So im confused whether is it allowrd or not? jazakaAllah khair

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
To pierce the tongue, lip, navel, eyebrows and including the upper earlobe, etc. has become the trend and norm especially among transgressors (fussāq) and immoral people. We therefore advise against piercing such areas.
