A couple is asking ruling on a fight between husband and wife

Two of my colleagues asked the following questions. I’ve tried asking at the islamqa.com but every time I try their quota is over.
Kindly can you answer or recommend me to a website where I could ask these questions. Jazak Allah u Khayr

1.      A couple is asking ruling on a fight between husband and wife.
Where husband asked wife to tell him recipe of meals she prepare….
because they are delicious……wife ignores or reply in no, that she can’t tell as husband tells these recipes to her in laws (husband female relatives).
Is it must for the wife to tell?
Is she committing sin if she refuses to tell the recipes?

2.       Her Aunt did Mangni of her daughter then due to some issues broke
it. Now they want to do the Mangni again. The problem is they don’t want to ask the boy’s family, they are hoping that the boy’s family asks again. For that they want to know some kind of dua’s etc.

P.s. Sorry to waste your time as I was typing these questions my mind was whirling with thoughts that how can people spend their time thinking about these pity issues when they could be doing something much better. I have to reply as I can’t just shun them off as my parents say that this is the culture etc. so you can’t change it in a day or two but gradually with politeness they can be directed towards the right path. Kindly just guide me on how to reply to these kind of useless questions

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

  1. A marital relationship is based on love, care and understanding. The wife has a right to conceal her recipes from her husband and relatives. Therefore, the wife will not be committing any sin. However, helping others and sharing ideas is a milestone in building love and care among family members.
  2. You state that the woman wants to remarry the boy. There is a great possibility that the boy’s family also wants the same. Therefore, we advise that a senior member of the girls family gets in contact with the boy’s family and reignite discussions in a diplomatic way where the girls families respect and honour is also upheld.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
