My brother is working in an software company. Recently he has shifted to a project related to banking. He is working for “Bank of America”. He is working on a technology named “Datastage”. His job is to transfer the data from old database system to new database system using the current technology. I have read a few fatwas in your own website but I am unable to draw any conclusion for this case. Please suggest.

We understand that the job profile you refer to includes the transferal of data from one database to another. Your job profile is permissible since you are not directly involved in interest bearing and conventional financial transactions.
