Mufti Saab, I have a question about how the federal reserve works and counterfeit money. The whole banking system is corrupt and the federal reserve is not even a government entity. So if people were to copy and make counterfeit money is it still haram. They just control everything and impose their currency on people. Their Fiat money is not backed by anything. Does that still make counterfiet money that can pass for real money haram ? They print money for their own causes when they feel like it and no one can say anything to them.

We do not understand your query. You enquire about the working of the Federal Reserve and counterfeit money and at the same time explain how it operates.
As residents/citizens of a country, we are required to abide by the laws of the country as long as the laws are not contrary to Shariah. We are averse to fraud and corruption. We should use all legal channels within our Constitutional rights to address our concerns to bring about justice, fairness and equity.
