Is is it permissible to touch a paper that has the name of Allah while in menstruation?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Asalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Hope you are keeping well inshaAllah

I had a quick question relating to impermissability during a woman’s period. I really enjoy art and calligraphy projects. I know one cannot touch the Holy Quran during ones period but I wanted to know whether it would be permissible to work on a project where I touch the name of Allah SWT written in Arabic (so basically to touch a piece of paper that says Allah, Ar- Rahman, and Ar-Rahim in Arabic)?

JazakAllahkhair!

May Allah SWT reward your entire team abundantly Ameen

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Yes, it is permissible, but better not to do so. [i]
