Feeling discharge during prayer

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Abdul-Karim Yahya, SunniPath Academy Teacher

What if a person is praying and they have a feeling discharge is coming out during prayer. so they start to doubt whether their prayer is counting or not and they start telling themselves it’s just shaytan. when this person finally checks after the prayer time is over, and finds out there was nothing after all. does this prayer count?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In The Name of Allah Most Merciful and Compassionate

Yes, this prayer is valid. If someone is certain that they are in a state of ablution and then doubts whether they have lost it or not, they act on that which they are certain of; which in this case is that they are pure.[1] May Allah accept all of your prayers and ours. And Allah knows best and he alone gives success (tawfiq).
