Raising hands between prostrations

Is it sunna to raise one’s hands between the two prostrations?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

It is not sunna to raise one’s hands between the two prostrations. It has been confirmed by some who related the description of the Prophet’s prayer, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, among the Companions, that he, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, did not raise his hands at all in his prayer while he was sitting.

As for raising the hands when standing after the prostration to recite the fatiha, it is only sunna to raise the hands when rising from the prostration of the second rak`ah to stand for the third rak`ah. One does not raise one’s hands when still sitting; one starts raising one’s hands when about to stand [s. after the second rak`ah].
