Is there a limit to the length of a man’s hair according to the Shari’ah?

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Amjad Rasheed

Is it permissible for a man to grow his hair as long as he wishes? Is there a limit to the length of a man’s hair according to the Shari’ah?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

There is not limit set on the length of men or women’s hair in the Shari’ah. However, one must be cautious in the case of a man growing his hair that he does not intend thereby imitation of women, the irreligious or the imprudent. Because his intending so is unlawful.
