What is the Shafii position on menstruating in the masjid. Are they allowed to sit inside the mosque? I have heard scholars say that it is okay in our Madhab. Another scholar also told me that it is okay to sit in an area that they do not pray all 5 daily prayers in, because that does not constitute as a place being a masjid. If a masjid is defined as a place where all 5 prayers are prayed, is it permissible to sit in the 2nd floor of the masjid building which is only used on Fridays for Jumah? It is part of the masjid structure, but the 5 daily prayers are not prayed inside of it.
