Dhikr fatimi; Which is correct?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Assalaamu `Alaykum Mufti Sahib.

I read a hadeeth which mentions the Dhikri faatimi before going to sleep as x33 Subhaanallaah, x33 Alhamdulillaah, x34 Allaahu Akbar, and in another hadeeth I read the dhikri faatimi after salaah as being x33 Subhaanallaah, x33 Alhamdulillaah, x33 Allaahu Akbar, x1 Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareekalahu….

But I notice most – if not all – the people here read the dhikri faatimi which is mentioned to be read before sleeping, they read it after salaah.

I asked people the reason but no one could give me an answer, one person said it might be due to tajribah.

So I would just like to know, is there any mention in the hadeeth or by the `ulamaa of doing it the way people here are doing it?

Jazaakallaahu khayr.

Walaikumussalaam w w

There is not only one Hadith explaining these tasbeehat. A variety of such Ahadeeth have been narrated. A good collection of these is compiled in fadhaaile Dhikr of shaykh Zakaria rahmatullahi alayhi.

Therefore, Both ways are correct and mentioned in Hadith. The general practice is also correct and what you have mentioned is also correct.
