Question: I have seen many questions relating to the length of men’s clothing but none concerning the length of women’s skirts and trousers. I know ankle length is preferred for men. I wear my clothing to the top of my foot so I don’t trip and fall. I have seen many sisters with their clothing dragging on the ground. Which is the preferred length for women?
Answer: Wa’alaikum assalaam warahmatu Allah,
The minimum length of a woman’s garment is that it cover her ankles, beyond this is open to preference.
