How Can a Woman Differentiate Between Mani and Madhi?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Question: As salaamu alaykum,

I am confused about when ghusl is obligatory on me, I cannot differentiate between mani and madhi How can I do this?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that this message finds you well, insha’Allah.

The ritual bath (ghusl) is obligatory after the release of ejaculate (mani) which normally follows a sexual climax (orgasm).

Pre-sexual fluid (madhi), on the other hand, is released during sexual excitement, yet only necessitates a ritual ablution (wudu).
