When Should I Pray the Asr Prayer When My Local Mosque Is Following the Earlier Time?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Question:Assalam, ‘aleykum. I’m a Hanafi currently in Egypt. Should I still pray Asr in the mosque before the Hanafi time comes in or should I pray by myself when the Hanafi time comes in?

Answer: Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

This is permissible, as the earlier Asr time is a sound and followable position in the Hanafi school. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
