My friends pray with their hands on their chest. They say that there is no proof of putting hands below navel. They quote sahih Bukhari that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray with his hands on his chest. How reliable is their hadith ? and did Abu Hanifa say : “When hadith is found to be sahih, then that is my madhab” ? so if there is sahih hadith in Bukhari about praying with my hands on my chest is it permitted for me to pray that way ?
