Prohibited times for Prayers

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Is performing make ups salat permissible straight after fajr till sunrise? (This time is not mentioned in previous postings as forbidden to pray make ups)

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

It is not permitted to perform non-obligatory prayers in the time between the performance of one’s obligatory Fajr prayer and sunrise (i.e. when Fajr time exits). However, makeup prayers are permitted at this time. After sunrise, it is not permitted (nor valid) to pray until the sun has clearly risen (around 15 minutes or so).

Faraz Rabbani.
