Is there something special about Surat Baqara and Surat Aal-Imran?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Virtues of Surahs al-Baqarah and al-Imran

Nawas Ibn Sam’an (Allah be pleased with him) said, “I heard the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) saying, ‘On the Day of Judgment, the Qur’an will be brought forward and people of the Qur’an who used to carry out the commands in the world. Sura al-Baqara and al-Imran will come forward and defend those people who recited them and carried out their commands.” (Muslim)

On the authority of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Don’t make your homes graveyards! Indeed the Devil runs from the house in which Sura al-Baqara is recited.” (Muslim)

On the authority of Abu Mas’ud al-Badri (Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) that he said, “Whoever recites the last two verses of Sura al-Baqara during the night, it will suffice him.” (Bukhari, Muslim) [Imam Nawawi mentions this means that it will suffice one as protection from all harm.

And Allah alone gives success.
