Making wudu with a wound that cannot get wet

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

I have a wound on my foot that needs fresh air hence is not covered by a cast/bandage. It gets worse when water touches it, instead of making tayummum could I perform wudu normally and when I reach that part o fmy foot, just pass my wet hand over it? If this is possible, do I have to preform wudu again for every prayer?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

You must wash the areas you are able to wash without difficulty or fear of harm, wipe other areas with a wetted hand, if able.
If unable (because of difficulty or fear of harm), you can leave it, and your wudu will be valid.

And Allah alone gives success.

Walaikum assalam,
