Hanafi following an imam of another madhhab

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Not Assigned

is there any reason to believe it is not permissible for a follower of the hanafi madhhab to follow her husband in salah if he is of a different madhhab (malaki)? Outside of salah, is it permissbile for her to continue doing things according to her preferred madhhab if he does them differently and he is the more knowledgable of the two?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

It is permitted without dislike to pray behind someone of another Sunni madhhab.

And Allah alone gives success.

Faraz Rabbani
