Can I combine Maghrib and Isha prayers if I live 59 miles from work?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
I live 59 miles from my work place and i travel daily.
Can i make Kasr.
Can i pray Isha along with Maghrib.

Answer
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

حامدا و مصليا :The prescribed travelling distance needed for a person to be classified a Musafir (traveller) is calculated from the outskirts of the city to the destination rather than the individual’s house.

In the above mentioned question Qasr will be done if the distance from the outskirts of the city to the work place exceeds the prescribed distance required or else Qasr will not be permissible. Additionally, in the case Qasr is permitted it will only be done for Isha not Maghrib.

According to Ahnaf a traveller cannot pray Isha and Maghrib at one time; each Salat must be prayed at its time. والله أعلم
