Is it permissible to use interest money to pay for car clamping fines and how can I recompense?

Assalamu Alaikum

I have already read your answer to this question under a previous topic. I have probably 4/5 times used interest money to pay for car clamping and once when a back seat passenger was not wearing a seat belt. I just found the whole system of clamping/fines grossly unfair (zulm) and as such have used the interest money to pay for it. Clearly from what you are saying this is not permissible – how do you I recompense?

Bismihi Ta’ala

Interest money and all money accumulated through Haraam sources can only be spent on poor people and nothing else without the intention for reward. Why should one be rewarded for donating Haraam money?

In the above-mentioned case, you will have to estimate the total amount of fines paid by interest money and donate it to the poor. The reason for this is, that you had no right to use this for personal reasons.

And Allah knows best.
