Can I Pray or Sleep with My Husband During a 35-40 Day Menstrual Cycle?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I am having menstrual now for over 35 to 40 days. I want to know if I can pray or sleep with my husband?

Bismillaah

A: If the bleeding is not found during the time of haiz, it will be regarded as istihaazah. In the state of istihaazah a woman will make wudhu and perform all her Salaah. She will be treated as a woman who is paak. Hence she can touch and recite the Qur’an and have relations with her husband.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
