Being buried next to one’s family members

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it compulsory that one has to be buried only next to one’s own family members?

Bismillaah

A: This is not correct. However if it is a privately owned graveyard, then it will be permissible to seek permission from the owners of the graveyard to reserve one section for one’s family members, so that it will be easy to find the graves of the family members.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
