When will a child be considered legitimate?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: After marriage if anybody comes to know that his child is not legitimate, is there any way to make it valid or legitimate?

Bismillaah

A: If a child is born six months after the nikaah was consummated then it will be legitimate and it will be the husband’s child.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
